The Stars and Planets:
Love & relationships

The Venus-Uranus square hit exact on July 14 (active July 8–20), right as Venus is sitting in early Virgo. Expect instability in romance and finances this week, sudden attractions, surprise messages, or a partner acting out of character. It's a poor window for locking in big relationship or money decisions. Let impulses sit for a day before acting. On the softer side, a Moon-Jupiter conjunction the night of July 14 brings warmth and generous, confident connection.
Work & career
Saturn sextile Mars becomes exact July 20 but has already been active since July 11, favoring disciplined, well-paced effort. This is a good window for pushing projects forward without burning out. Saturn square Mercury builds from July 12 (exact July 24), which alongside retrograde Mercury (still retrograde through this week) suggests miscommunication risk at work, so double-check details, don't be surprised by delays, and favor review/revision over new launches.
New Moon in Cancer (July 14, 5:45 AM ET): This supermoon at 21°59' Cancer in Cancer's home sign, so it's an unusually potent lunation for emotional resets, home, family, and belonging. It's also within 2° of retrograde Mercury, pulling the energy toward reflection and revisiting rather than announcing something new. "I came but to remember," reinforces themes of memory and lineage. This is a good week to set quiet, private intentions around home life, family ties, or emotional security rather than public declarations.
Bigger picture: The rest of the week (July 15–19) builds toward a very rare "Barbault Basket" in which Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are locking into a symmetrical cradle pattern all near 4° of their signs, peaking July 19–21. Neptune sextile Uranus turns exact July 16, and Pluto trine Uranus exact July 18, both slow, collective-level aspects tied to this larger pattern. Astrologers reading this configuration frame it as a pivot from crisis toward expansion and rebuilding, more a background hum for the collective than a day-to-day personal event, but it adds an undercurrent of "old structures loosening, new ones forming" to the week. Personally, this is a week to slow down on love and money impulses, as well as big communications, while using the New Moon for quiet, home-focused intention-setting.
